April has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and completed her 200-hour teacher training from TRU yoga studio in 2016. Yoga is her favorite way to connect to self and regulate the nervous system. April weaves playfulness and compassion into her classes, and firmly believes that awareness that grows on the mat can influence our awareness off the mat. For her, yoga is an opportunity for connection and change. When not teaching yoga, April teaches literacy at the primary level and is grateful for the opportunity to grow as both a yoga teacher and as a literacy teacher, continuously learning, evolving and integrating best practices.
