I cannot say enough about the yoga classes offered. In fact I enjoy them so much that I am now taking two classes a week. Our instructor is excellent, focusing on advancing each student’s individual practice of yoga while ensuring that each student is practicing correctly and safely so as not to cause injury. She is very accommodating. At the beginning of each class she always asks if there is anything specific that anyone would like to work on and she gives each student individual attention throughout class, tailoring her teaching to meet the needs of each individual student. Her level of knowledge and experience in the practice of yoga is outstanding. Not only does she teach the individual poses of yoga but she also teaches the history and methodology of yoga so that we have a better understanding of how to incorporate yoga into our overall sense of well being in daily life.

Marla ensures that you are doing the poses correctly to attain the best stretch, or the safest way to perform the move.  Her classes are totally relaxing and you feel wonderfully relaxed afterwards.  I recommend her class to anyone from beginner (me) to extremely advanced.  She has taught us not only the poses, but the philosophy behind the yoga moves and breathing.

Trikonasana (Triangle Pose, pictured above) is beneficial for lengthening the sides of the body, opening the chest to increase breathing capacity, and stretching the inner thighs and groin. It stimulates the nervous system and alleviates nervous depression. It improves digestion by stimulating the appetite and ameliorates constipation.

Marla has an aura of peace.  I appreciate that she treats us as individuals and reminds us that we each have different needs.  Coming back to work after class helps me be more positive about any duty that the day may bring.  Thank you for offering this service!
